Assata Shakur schrieb in ihrem Gedicht „Gegenwärtige Ereignisse“: „Und ein Schwein nenne ich ein Schwein. Und ein Fest, so meine ich, gibt es nur ab und zu.“

Wir halten es mit Assata und wollen uns als BDS Austria nur kurz mal mit unserem 5-jährigen Bestehen selbst feiern, um dann gleich wieder weiterzumachen. Denn eigentlich gibt es nichts zu feiern.

Assata Shakur wrote in her poem „Current Events”: „And I call a pig a pig. And a party, to my thinking, happens only once in a while.”

We stick with Assata and want to celebrate ourselves as BDS Austria and our 5 year anniversary only for a brief moment, just to continue in the next one. Actually there is nothing to celebrate.
